Japanese Bobtail Kittens

One Response to “Japanese Bobtail Kittens”

  1. Jennifer says:

Hi- I just recently happened upon this breed of cat online. My calico mama kitty had her first litter of kittens this last June, and we were so surprised to find she gave birth to 2 short-tailed kittens, out of a litter of four. I was curious if they were manx, so set out to do some research, when low and behold I come across a description of the Japanese bobtail. As I look at some of the pictures online, I think I am looking at one of my cats, they were approx. 4 months old at the time. I have 2 females that are now 8 months old, one is rather petite, all snow white with the exception of some “butterscotch coloring on her head between her ears, along with a circle of dark gray, and gorgeous golden eyes. Then she has quite an interesting tail, with stripes of gray and butterscotch. Then we have a bit larger female that has more of the calico coloring, with beautiful eyes. Anyway I would love to learn more about the breed, maybe you can help me figure out if this is actually what I have here. Your babies are absolutely adorable, can you let me know how old they are now and send any recent pictures you might have. Do you have a male kitten? Thanks, looking forward to hearing from you!
